The Olivetti Pluma 22 is a portable, lightweight mechanical typewriter known for its efficiency and compact design. In 1959, the Illinois Institute of Technology recognized its predecessor, the Lettera 22, as the best-designed product of the previous 100 years. This prestigious acknowledgement highlighted Olivetti’s commitment to creating products that seamlessly blend functionality with elegant, modern aesthetics, reinforcing the Lettera 22’s status as an iconic piece of 20th-century industrial design.
