the pictures and description simply do not do this typewriter justice. it is a piece of art. it works beautifully and is so impressive to my guests who spot it on the mantel -- and the customer service at El Granero is A+++. Our experience with the Typewriter.Company was out of this world. Our typewriter did not initially survive shipping, even though it was clear that the Typerwriter.Company did an incredible job packing it (they went above and beyond). I was quite stressed about it all and wrote them immediately. They responded very quickly, reassuring me and telling me they would take care of everything and send me a replacement via priority shipping. They gave me several options (I could have them send me the same model I ordered or another model) and I had another typewriter in my hands in days. They made it as painless as possible. The typewriter is beautiful and it is clear that a tremendous amount of love and care went into it and its packaging.
