About:
The Hispano Olivetti Studio 46, often referred to as Studio 42, is a beautifully restored semi-portable vintage typewriter. This iconic model draws inspiration from the German "Bauhaus School" design philosophy, known for its clean lines and functionality. Designed by the renowned artist Alexander "Xanti" Schawinsky in 1934, this typewriter became famous for its minimalist aesthetics and reliable performance. It was used by Thor Heyerdahl, the Norwegian explorer and anthropologist.
