According to the British Consumers' Association Report on Portable Typewriters, contained in the December 1962 edition of Which? magazine, Splendid 33 was the Best Buy because it was - "Light, small, cheap and very well made".
It was designed for Olympia Werke in Wilhelmshaven, West Germany, in the 1960s.

The typewriter was absolutely beautiful in all its vintage glory. I ordered it as a graduation present for my sister who lives in another city. Since the typewriter was still on the way by the time I had to fly to my sister's city, the shop owners were able to reroute the delivery directly to my sister's address. The package arrived a day before her graduation and she was beautifully wrapped. My sister absolutely loved it. So glad I found this shop on Etsy!
