The Swiss maker Paillard, located in Yverdoni, is known worldwide. This company launched a standard office typewriter under the name HERMES in 1920, which was not a great success. Paillard kept at it, releasing Model 2 in 1923, Model 3 four years later, and finally Model 4 as late as 1934.
The Standard 6 was launched in 1943 and was produced till 1953.
It's a 1940s Hermes Standard 6 in a very good vintage condition.
All of our typewriters are serviced by an experienced former Olivetti technician :)

Ribbons last a long time unless you're typing constantly. If you type forty or sixty pages a week, you have to change the ribbon once a year or so (with new Original Pelikan ribbon you can write 500 pages easily)
