    Typewriter Warranty Conditions

     

    We appreciate your choosing our brand and we congratulate you on the purchase of one of our typewriters. We do not doubt that it will meet your needs and expectations. We guarantee the typewriter rebuilt and serviced by El Granero Typewriter Company is free of defects, thoroughly cleaned and double-checked by our technical team prior to shipping. We always record the video proof and an inspection report page you will find attached to the typewriter. The warranty conditions are to help to go smoothly through the repair process if something stops working properly. We know that you need the typewriter as soon as possible, and we will work hard to get back these machines to perfect working condition.

    General conditions 

     

    1. The warranty begins from the day of delivery and comprises the gratuitous repair of all defects and damage due to faults in manufacture or material.
    2. To activate our warranty, you need to send us an e-mail confirming receipt of the product in good condition within 7 days of delivery (contact@typewriter.company). By failing to do so, your item is only covered by our 1-year technical support.
    3. The person who is buying a typewriter or an adult receiver is a warranty holder.
    4. The warranty is not transferable.
    5. The guarantee expires if the machine changes its owner and if repairs or modifications are carried out by third parties. Furthermore, it becomes null if the typewriter repair was undertaken in a workshop not chosen by us.
    6. The claim for change or compensation is not contained in the guarantee.
    7. The claims under guarantee have to be declared directly to our customer service by email (contact@typewriter.company)
    8. What is included in the warranty - mechanical failure - includes the main spring, internal springs and levers, typeface, return mechanism, shift mechanics, escapement, margins, ribbon vibrator, ribbon advance mechanism and spacing functions.
    9. What is not covered- Any damage in transit, issue or malfunction caused by direct or indirect, intentional or unintentional neglect, abuse, accidents, improper care, improper storage, theft, shipping damage, installing ribbon incorrectly or misuse will not be covered by this warranty.
    10. Parts not included in warranty - rubber feet, platen, feed rollers, bumpers, metal or chrome plated parts, varnish, decals, old paint, plastic or glass key tops, spools, ribbons and any other wear during using the Typewriter.
    11. The guarantee expressly excludes cleaning of the machine and defects due to improper handling and unsuitable accessories.
    12. If the warranty holder is not responding to our calls and emails more than 30 days after reporting us a claim under warranty, we are reserving the right to close a claim without resolving the issue and not accepting other claims in the future. Please note that using the typewriter with mechanical issues can provoke other damages to the mechanism and automatically the guarantee expires.

We understand the frustration and disappointment that can come with a broken typewriter and the wait, which is why we make it work perfectly again. We share your disappointment if something goes wrong during transit, but please rest assured that we will do everything in our control to resolve the issue.

    • Please note: Any defects that may have occurred in transport must be reported by e-mail within 7 days of delivery. By failing to do so, you waive your right to the insurance and our warranty.

    Typewriter Repair

    • The repair will be carried out in the workshop or service stations named by us, or in case of necessity, in our workshop based in Spain. We will care about everything to make it work again as it was before we shipped.
    • Furthermore, it becomes null if the typewriter restoration was undertaken in a workshop not chosen by us or are carried out by any third parties.
    • During repair we reserve the right to change or modify details on the typewriter due to the antique or vintage nature of the product. For example broken knobs can be replaced with 3D replicas etc They won't change the overall appearance of the machine and will always be treated as improvements.
