We guarantee that the typewriter rebuilt and serviced by El Granero Typewriter Company is free of defects. Prior to shipping, each typewriter undergoes a thorough cleaning and is double-checked by our technical team to ensure its optimal functioning.

 

 

 As a typewriter company with over 10 years of experience, our primary goal is customer satisfaction. We take pride in the quality of our products and have implemented stringent quality control measures to ensure that each item we ship meets the highest standards. 1. Warranty Terms

 

 

1.1. Warranty Start Date

 

The 1-Year Warranty begins on the day of delivery and includes the gratuitous repair of all defects and damages due to manufacturing or material faults. 

 

1.2. Activation of Worldwide Warranty

To activate our worldwide guarantee, please send us an email confirming the receipt of the product in good working condition within 7 days of delivery. Include your order details or a picture of the test page that was received with the typewriter.

 

1.3. Without Online Activation

If the online guarantee is not activated, your typewriter is still covered by our online technical support. If you are an EU resident, the standard customer guarantee applies.

 

1.4. Warranty Holder

The warranty holder is the person who purchased the typewriter or an adult receiver of the typewriter.

 

1.5. Non-Transferable Warranty

The warranty is not transferable unless agreed upon before purchase, such as in the case of a gift.


1.6. Claims Under Guarantee
Claims must be declared within 7 days of delivery directly to our customer service by email.

 

1.7. Expiry of Warranty

1.7.1. The Warranty Expires
The warranty expires if the typewriter changes ownership.

 

1.7.2. Lack of Collaboration

If the warranty holder does not respond within 30 days after reporting a claim, we reserve the right to close the claim without resolution and may not accept future claims.

 

1.7.3. Not Repaired Issue

Using the typewriter with mechanical issues can cause further damage to the mechanism, which will void the warranty.

 

1.8. Third-Party Repairs

Attempts to claim warranty coverage through unauthorized third parties may result in the denial of the claim.

 

1.9. Warranty Nullification

The warranty becomes null and void if the typewriter is repaired by a workshop not authorized by our company.

 

1.10. Exclusion

The guarantee does not cover claims for change or compensation.

2. Authorized Repair Shops

 

 

2.1. Inspection and Repair

We reserve the right to inspect and determine the cause of any damage claimed under warranty. This inspection must be performed by an authorized repair shop or repairman.

3. Warranty Coverage

 

3.1. Included in the Warranty

  • Main Spring: The central spring mechanism responsible for the operation of the typewriter.
  • Internal Springs and Levers: All internal springs and levers essential for the typewriter’s functioning.
  • Typeface: The component that stamps letters onto the paper.
  • Return Mechanism: The mechanism that returns the carriage to the starting position.
  • Shift Mechanics: Components involved in shifting the type bars to type uppercase and special characters.
  • Escapement: The mechanism controlling the movement of the carriage.
  • Margins: The devices that control the left and right margins of the typed text.
  • Ribbon Vibrator: The part that lifts the ribbon for typing.
  • Ribbon Advance Mechanism: The mechanism that advances the ribbon to provide fresh ink.
  • Spacing Functions: All components involved in the spacing between characters and lines.
  • Keystrokes: All parts related to the operation and function of the keys.
  • Missing Parts: Any parts that were included at the time of purchase as displayed and are missing or displaced.

    3.2. Important Note

    3.3. Not Covered by the Warranty

    • Any damage during transit, issues or malfunctions caused by neglect, abuse, accidents, improper care, improper storage, theft, shipping damage, incorrect ribbon installation, or misuse.
    • Parts like rubber feet, platen, feed rollers, bumpers, metal or chrome-plated parts, varnish, decals, old paint, plastic or glass key tops, spools, ribbons, and any other wear and tear during use.
    • Cleaning of the machine and defects due to improper handling and unsuitable accessories.

      3.4. Important Note

      Don’t wait to contact us; using the typewriter with mechanical issues can cause further damage to the mechanism, which will void the warranty.
